Associate Professor of Hunan University

Dr. Shu has a PhD in Public Administration in Economics and Finance from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy. He worked in Huazhong University of Science and Technology since September 2010. He has been working in Hunan University since October 2018 and became a co-founder of the “Digital Economy” department in April 2022.

Dr. Shu’s key areas of expertise are Digital Economy and Big Data Analysis; Public Policy Impact Assessment on Economy and Finance; Environmental Economics. He is the corresponding author of 5 papers in top-ranking journal indexed as first quantile in Journal Citation Reports, including 2 highly cited papers in Essential Science Indicators.

Dr. Shu was designated as a member of review committee for national and provincial competitions of Innovation and Entrepreneurship hosted by the Central Commission of Communist Youth League of China. He was appointed as Guest Lecturer by top universities in China, such as Nanjing University. He was awarded multiple educational honors by provincial governments.
