In April 2021, the MOOC " Finance & Contemporary China " lectured by Mr. Li Kun of BNUBS, was selected as the recommended course on the first page of the online international webpage of Xuetang. The MOOC is the result of our Massive Open Online Courses (English) construction project, and has been included in the list of informatization and education and teaching integration projects of Beijing Normal University.

In order to promote Chinese high-quality courses overseas and expand the cooperation between China and global universities in online education, the Ministry of Education of China launched the project of building an international online teaching platform for universities in April 2020. As one of the first selected platforms, Xuetang International Edition was officially launched on April 20^th, 2020, aiming to gather domestic first-class MOOCs for English teaching and serving global users.

Finance & Contemporary China is an all-English MOOC for undergraduates and beginners in finance. The main contents of the course include financial system, securities issuance and circulation, central banking system, foreign exchange market, risk analysis, stocks and bonds, etc. This course introduces cases and data of contemporary Chinese finance and other learning materials, so that students can better learn finance and understand contemporary Chinese finance.
